This day is all about Going Hog Wild and Bacon Crazy in Fairmont – Martin County, the largest producer of pork in the state of Minnesota! Indulge in something with bacon for every meal and search for painted hog statues in Fairmont’s Hog Wild Scavenger Hunt! This adventure is fun for the whole family and you won’t find one like it anywhere else!
We started our Hog Wild and Bacon Crazy adventure with lunch at Graffiti Corner! With a wide variety of delicious sandwiches, baked goods, and treats, this place is a hit with the whole family. This was the first time that we got to try bacon in Fairmont and it’s some of the best bacon that we’ve ever had! It’s also fun that Graffiti Corner has so many great games, including a Hog to start the Hog Wild Scavenger Hunt!
Pro Tip! Order something with bacon, you’ll be glad you did!
After lunch, we embarked on the Going Hog Wild Scavenger Hunt! This was a fun and engaging activity that got us exploring the town and learning about its history. We followed the Hog Wild Check List and discovered hidden gems along the way. The kids were especially excited when they found the elusive “hog” statues!
Pro Tip! Look for Hog Statues everywhere you go in Fairmont! Even if you can’t stop at everyone that you see, the kids will love keeping count of how many they’ve seen/found!

As the sun began to set, we made our way to The Ranch Family Restaurant for dinner. The restaurant has a rustic charm and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We feasted on walleye sandwiches, juicy burgers with bacon, and delicious chicken strips. The kids had fun checking out the Garman Wall and coloring while our food was being prepared.
Pro Tip! Look for another Hog when you arrive and whatever you do, don’t forget to order something with bacon!

After dinner, we checked into our cozy room at the Hampton Inn Fairmont. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a relaxing evening winding down and planning our adventures for the next day. The next morning, we woke up feeling refreshed and ready to start our day. We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast at the hotel, fueling up for another day of exploration. As we sat at the breakfast table, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for the wonderful memories we had made in Fairmont.
Pro Tip! I’m not sure if they offer bacon everyday here, but if they do, please get some!
